So Ford’s back to making big block push rod engines? Neat.
Almost wish it was over head cam just to see how they would package it. That thing would have been huge size wise.

So, a 7.3 liter pushrod engine?
What kind of BSFC is it pulling?
I can think of very few reasons for such a large engine.

It doesn’t seem quite practical as it sits. I guess that running at low revs in a bus it might. But to pull the kind of torque a bus would need, it would really need CNG.

Remember that Mercedes-Benz was able to stuff a 7.3L DOHC engine into the R129 SL from 1997-2001. Could be done though obviously the large block and V8 configuration in a truck would be trickier than with an aluminum V12.
